The adapter does not interfere with the lowering of the router, its full plunge depth is preserved.
Comes with (2) 10-24 x 1/2" screws to secure the adapter in place, using the side holes intended to secure the edge guide rods.
The adapter has a small cut out that faces the front of the router, so you can still see the bit.
